The Iron Lady concept was a response to the question ‘Feminism matters to whom?’ Many people associate the word feminism with negativity and what once was a movement to fight for gender equality has become a derogatory term. Women illustrated in the campaign posters were referred to as Iron Ladies, remain the first and (almost) last female head of states in the 21st century. And with the tragic statistics of violence the Iron ladies prove, there is a lot of “ironing” left to be done.
